The 90-2C serves for testing the protective earth connection according to different norms. The rated test current is generated by a preselectable current source. The operation can be carried out either manually at the front-panel or via an interface. The measurements are shown at a switch-selectable analog instrument. Through this the device is used in laboratory tests, manual test stations and in fully automatic test systems.
